If you’ve popped by our website before, you’ll know that we’re proud to support Maggie’s Centres.
Supporting Our Favourite Charity
Maggie’s supports anyone who has been affected by cancer and runs 21 centres across the country providing help for patients and their loved ones.
We get involved by donating £5 from the sale of every Crimbotree to the charity. But did you know there are lots of ways to fundraise during the rest of the year?
Raise Money While Getting Fit
One of the most popular ways of helping Maggie’s is to take part in a sponsored running event. This is fantastic because you’ll get fitter and stronger as you train and get all the other benefits of running.
What are you waiting for?
Get out your lycra and pound the pavements as you work towards your goal! There are lots of stories on the Maggie’s website to motivate and inspire you. One hardy soul is even taking part in the Manchester half marathon, London triathlon and Cheltenham half marathon over the next couple of months to raise money.
How About the London Marathon in 2019?
If all this training gets you thinking about running a blooming long way round London next April, the good news is that Maggie’s will support you all the way.
- you can apply for a Maggie’s charity place
- or apply for the London Marathon 2019 ballot
- you’ll receive a fundraising pack, running vest and training guides
If running isn’t your cup of tea, why not sign up to cheer on the runners at different points round the course? You’ll have a great day out cheering on our runners as well as the elite athletes and those in fancy dress (26.2 miles dressed as an ice cream anyone?).
We’ll see you in December 2018 when we’ll be supporting Maggie’s again through the sale of our Crimbotrees. Visit us at the Old Jenners Depository in Edinburgh or reserve your tree online.
